An evening of female flavoured animation and comedy featuring the comedy of Holly Prazoff, and Inessa Frantowski (Toronto) and more, plus animation by Signe Baumane (NYC), Joanna Quinn (UK), Janet Perlman (MTL), Ruth Lingford (UK), and Jessica Borutski (OTT). Presented in partnership with the Ottawa International Animation Festival.

Holly Prazoff (Toronto)

Holly Prazoff attended Etobicoke School of the Arts for Musical Theatre and Drama. She then completed Humber College's Comedy program where she received the Academic Achievement Award. She was accepted into Second City’s Conservatory and also joined The Sketchersons, a sketch collective that writes and produces a weekly live comedy show. Their four time Canadian Comedy Award nominated show Sunday Night Live, has been going for over four years. Holly was named Toronto's Best Trash Talker by MTV Canada after winning the Canadian version of Yo Mamma! Holly loves stuff/things.

Inessa Frantowski (Toronto)

Inessa Frantowski has been making her family laugh since she was a kid. Fortunately, her family laughs pretty readily. Inessa graduated with an Acting Diploma from Sheridan College and a Specialist Degree in Theatre and Drama Studies from the University of Toronto. Upon gradation, Inessa began pursuing theatre and appeared the Fringe hits GREEN: Or an Anthem of Young Love, and Nana. She stumbled into comedy after graduation from the Second City Conservatory, and has been performing with the sketch collective, the Sketchersons, ever since. Their two time Canadian Comedy Award nominated show Sunday Night Live is still running at the Brunswick House after over 100 shows. The Sketchersons will be performing their show this April at the Winter Garden Theatre. Inessa is now exploring solo experimental comedy, stand-up, filmmaking and is a regular of the Loner Show, at the Oasis. Next up, Inessa will appear as Wanda in the Novel Life of Jane coming soon to Global, and also in the upcoming film Hooked on Speedman.

Rebecca Addelman (Toronto)

Originally from Ottawa, Rebecca Addelman is a comedian, actor and writer who has performed all over Toronto, as well as in New York City and L.A. Last year, Rebecca was nominated for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund, the most prestigious award for up-and-coming Canadian comics. You can find her on TV on the Cream of Comedy 2006 special (Comedy Network) and as a regular juror on Much Music’s Video on Trial, or catch her on XM Satellite Radio’s Laugh Attack. Rebecca is the producer and host of Backasswards, a popular monthly comedy and music revue in Toronto, and performs as one-third of comedy trio HIR (with Holly Prazoff and Inessa Frantowski) at the Drake Hotel, where they were recently artists in residence. Last month, she finished filming a new sketch comedy pilot for CTV and the Comedy Network, The Nikki Funtime Show, starring comedian Nikki Payne. Her writing has been published in magazines such as The Walrus, Bust, Orange Life and Maclean’s.
